President's Page September 2010

With the month of August drawing to a close I hope everyone has enjoyed the great weather we have had this summer. Most working people have had their holidays already. I know some of you are retired and everyday is a holiday but some of us are still slaving away. I'm on the count down, hopefully next year I will join the ranks of the semi-retired. I say "semi" as I don't intend to stop working totally.
I'm sure everyone has had many opportunities to drive their old vehicles this year with all the sunny days we've had. I understand most of the car shows in the area have had a good turn out this year including the bi-weekly Harvey's cruise night, which is very well attended.
The month of September brings us to a return of an old event. This year we are having a Rodeo on Sept. 18th. Details are in this issue of the Quail so please read carefully. I trust this event will be a fun time for all who attend.
Our September meeting will follow dinner at the Sands on Golden Lake. The meal will start at 6pm with the meeting to follow downstairs as soon as everyone has eaten. In order to serve everyone quickly they are giving us a choice of four meals to select from, which should meet everyones tastes.
Have a great day and I'll see you at our next meeting.

Wayne
